I have a Raspberry Pi 5 running Pi-hole and I use btop to view stats. btop on the pi is v 1.2.13, but the most recent release is v1.4.4 (https://github.com/aristocratos/btop/releases) how do I update? I don't have any available updates when I type sudo apt update (and I'm not sure if this would also update btop if an update was available - if if it's just for the system OS). So, to try and counteract that tendency, I view this paper as being very good because it can actually help answer those questions! If they do it or similar again with new models, this is an important point in the data, the “before” result that would help inform that aspect of this space

Just got a second hand QNAP TS559 Pro 2 including 5x 2T disks (at least no major SMART issues) for just 20 bucks… insane. And all corporate data left on the disks for free 🫣

I’m not immune to this either! My first questions were “which models and tools did they use” and “how much skill with the tools did they have” which is the questions that are told of mind for me right now!

One thing I think I’ve come to as I’ve considered AI/LLMs more seriously is that reinforcing your own biases is very very easy. A lot of the discourse is taking some conclusion, applying it to the story, and then reinforcing that confusion by taking it as evidence that you’re right
