I'm not sure why, but my brain seems to work well with bending LLMs.

@wsvincentWill Vincent told me that he couldn't get the word "VOTE" to appear in an image, and it only took two suggestions to get it working. My other suggestion was to have it spell it out via "V" "O" "T" "E", which I have had to use before to get some signs printed for our office once, and it was confused by "revsys".

Some loosely organized thoughts on the current Zeitgeist. They were inspired by the response to my recent meta-project mentioned in my previous post https://mathstodon.xyz/@tao/115254145226514817, where within 24 hours I became aware of a large number of ongoing small-scale collaborative math projects with their own modest but active community (now listed at https://mathoverflow.net/questions/500720/list-of-crowdsourced-math-projects-actively-seeking-participants ); but they are from the perspective of a human rather than a mathematician. As a crude first approximation, one can think of human society as the interaction between entities at four different scales: 1. Individual humans 2. Small organized groups of humans (e.g., close or extended family; friends; local social or religious organizations; informal sports clubs; small businesses and non-profits; ad hoc collaborations on small projects; small online communities) 3. Large organized groups of humans (e.g., large companies; governments; global institutions; professional sports clubs; large political parties or movements; large social media sites) 4. Release v2.4.14 of Ktistec is small in terms of features and fixes, but it improves in two areas where I thought Ktistec was weak: light/dark mode support and autosave.

I'm not hardcore dark mode, but I do prefer it in some cases. Ktistec selects light or dark mode based on the browser or system setting—there is currently no means to select the mode directly. A nice side effect of light/dark mode support is that custom theming support comes nearly for free.

Ktistec was meant for writing. I post my fair share of one-line bits of wisdom, but I started building Ktistec because I wanted a space to write long form, and existing Fediverse platforms were more for social interaction. When writing long form, autosaving is an essential feature. Ktistec will now autosave draft posts and replies. If you navigate away before publishing, you can always find the incomplete draft in the Drafts collection which is accessible from your timeline page.

  • Support custom themes with automatic light/dark mode switching.
  • Add autosave functionality for new posts, draft posts, and replies.

Hello everyone! I'm thrilled to announce the second release of the alpha Bevy CLI, a command-line tool hacked on by the Bevy CLI working group that streamlines work on projects using the Bevy game engine (bevy.org). This release includes key improvements such as:

- Automatically configuring the correct getrandom backend when building a project for the web
- Easily listing and installing specific versions of the Bevy Linter
- Unstable support for enabling web multi-threading, useful when depending on crates like bevy_seedling
- Faster compile times and improved template support by relying on cargo-generate in its executable form, rather than bundling it as a library
- Many bug fixes, small quality-of-life changes, and documentation improvements

I was in the Mangas mountains and found a pottery midden. The fine shape of the pottery and the black on white and black on red glaze suggests later Puebloan, maybe produced at Antelope Mesa as some of the pieces seem to have been fired at high temperature. There was some pottery I didn't know. High fired black ware with a raw exterior and shiny, vitrified interior looking like hematite. They didn't photograph well but does anyone recognize them?
