많은 언어들의 많은 패키지 매니저들이, 패키지에 대한 테스트를 돌릴 방법은 제공하면서(npm test 등) 막상 그 패키지 레포를 클론떴을때 그 패키지를 사용하는 아무 예제나 실행시켜볼 쉽고 통일된 방법은 잘 제공 안하는 거 같다. 가령 examples/*의 코드들을 실행시킬 방법은 npm 패키지들마다 제각각이다. 왓더??

우리집에서 키우던 애가 화단보고 낑낑거려서 풀어줬더니, 후다닥 가서 한마리 낼름 잡아서 자랑스럽게 갖다줌 -_-
뭐 훈련한것도 없는데;;
I used to ask, when a guy was getting out of line with me: "How would you feel if someone treated your mom / sister / daughter this way?" or "How would you want your mom / sister / daughter to respond in this kind of situation?"
It's a way to reframe me, even though I'm a woman, as a human being who deserves respect and decency, not an object or an NPC.
But I think all these years I've been doing it wrong.
Instead, I now ask: "Would you treat your (male) boss or another high status man this way?" or "Would you behave this way in front of your boss or another man who wields power in your life?"
Because it was never about me at all. It's about whether they'll face consequences for their actions.

학원 천장에 쥐가 있어요
월요일 6시~7시 사이에 천장에서 테이프 뜯는 소리가 났었어요
초6 아이들은 위층에서 테이프 뜯는게 아니냐고 했지만 소리가 아주 얇은 벽 가까이에서 들리는 것이었어요
그런데 어제 화요일 6시 반~7시 사이에 또 같은 소리가 들리는거에요
중2 학생이 천장에 구멍이 있다고 해서 봤더니
전등을 다른 것으로 교체하면서 생긴 동그란 구멍을 스티커로 막아뒀는데,
그 스티커가 얇아서 살짝 동그란 구멍 그림자가 있었어요
그렇다면 쥐가 그 구멍 모서리를 갉아먹고 있었다는 거잖아요...?
쥐가 맞다... 란 추측을 하고 있는 가운데, 이번에는 다른 구멍에서 테이프 뜯는 소리가 났어요.
그런데 그 구멍 바로 옆에 테이프로 막지 않은 다른 구멍이 있었어요...
전등 구멍보다는 작은 빔프로젝터를 떼고 남은 구멍이었지만 쥐가 어느정도 크기인지 모르니 충분히 그 구멍으로 떨어질 가능성이 있었어요
실장님이랑 학생이랑 제가 식겁해서 다른 반으로 옮겼는데
이번에는 복도쪽 구멍에서 소리가 나는거에요...
쥐가 천장을 돌아다니면서 구멍에 있는 모서리란 모서리는 다 갉아먹고 있나봐요
무서워요 살려주세요

(this seems to be getting fresher by the day, I guess the more people use rust in production the more that'll be clear? there are _lots_ of ways to make most programs in most languages -- memory safe languages! -- halt with a fatal error. we know this right? we do not write in total languages with functional correctness proofs. like basically anyone at all. it'd be great if we did but the set of people who get paid to do that is extremely small and they produce code at a rate that would make your manager fall out of their chair laughing. because it is extremely super duper hard. that was 100% not the target niche rust was aiming for.)

Apropos of recent events, reminder that crashing is memory safe behavior. When someone says something is “safe” it’s a good idea to find out what they mean by the word, since it may not be what you mean by it.
Memory safety makes some bugs easier to diagnose, avoids some types of data corruption, and prevents a very large class of security exploit. It does *not* address availability.
To make matters worse, not one other person stood up for her. Not one.
