My co-parent suggested to me that my father might make substantially faster progress if I explained the lessons I hope he will learn from following my social media account, from interacting with people in my community, from my writing, from other writings I point him to.
*I got gaslit about who I am. By everyone, in every interaction.*
On an extremely basic level, the lesson is the totality. I’ll explore a single short post to explain it. Recently I replied to a post about baristas in a socialist utopia by saying I would look cute in an apron. This communicates my identity on myriad levels, and importantly, it would mean something slightly different from anyone else - the full content can be understood only in the context of who I am, conveyed by how I talk about myself, whom I speak with, and what I choose to say and not say.
*I learned to lie, constantly, smoothly, and convincingly about who I am.*
The barista comment connects to my socialism, and my concerns about the corrosive effect of my job on society. It expresses how my transition required it’s own golden handcuffs, pursuing career choices because of their stability, financial reward, their suitability in which to transition, the way they would not be negatively impacted by my stunted social and relational skills from existing in the closet. It nods to my femininity, my appreciation of fashion, my personal style. It calls back to public conversations with friends about how we would appreciate simpler work in a world that valued connection and working together and eschewed capitalism and billionaires. By directing it to another trans femme I know from my time on my social media account, it gestures to the web of connections I’m growing and living happily within. It conveyed such a rich set of messages about me in a handful of words.

* Pushing hard to adopt an absolute crap technology with very low accuracy and consistency, which additionally has had noticeable affects on certain co-workers ability to understand a problem and picture the solution (those who seem to be offloading their thinking to AI over the last year have notably degraded in these areas)
* Supporting the enrichment of billionaire fascists who want to manipulate and control the truth and control the population to make themselves richer.
* Supporting the re-ignition of coal power plants and burning significant amounts of power and water to fuel these inefficient garbage bots.
* Generally increasing affordability problems on all fronts while also accelerating the climate disaster that will be central to my sons future.
I wake up every day angry, stressed, and mournful that I am contributing the destruction of my son's future while begrudgingly going to work in the name of his present; in order to keep him clothed, fed, and try to eek out some chance of a better financial future for our family.
I'm not sure how much longer I can keep helping drive the engine of the very destruction I want to put an end to.
There must be some companies out there doing things without AI and making technology choices that are moral. They can't all be sycophants feeding the investor greed machine.. help me find them. I need to know there are some options.

최근 망원렌즈로 사진 찍어보니까
이정도 고배율이면 내가 원하는 방향으로 카메라 들고있는지 파악하기가 쉽지 않더라...
편한 자세에서 빠르고 정확하게 조준 자세로 바꾸는 연습 필요...
그리고 고배율이다 보니까 조금만 움직여도 상은 엄청 흔들린다...
호흡 조절이랑 손가락만 움직이는 연습이 필요...

특히 5년간 먹거리 물가가 심각하게 올랐는데요. 이건 한국만의 문제가 아닙니다. 영국에서는 무려 1400만이 기아에 노출되었고 그 중 400만 가량이 아동이라는 뉴스도 있었습니다.
어느 정도 과장된 해석도 있겠지만 원문을 따라가면서 보고서를 분석해본 결과 상당수는 들어맞는다고 생각됩니다. 생각보다 더 심각해요.
원래 이 타래를 쓰기 시작했던 이유는 아이들 등하원에 태풍같은 극단적 날씨가 오지 않을까 걱정되어 혼자 공부하기 위함이었는데요. 날씨는, 기후는 단순히 이런 문제가 아닌걸 점점 체감하게 됩니다. 그럼 좋은 하루 되세요.

대략 이틀에서 사흘, 길게는 일요일 정도까지는 한반도에 이동성 고기압이 대상(帶狀, 띠 모양) 고기압의 형태를 보이며 온화한 날씨 + 큰 일교차를 일으킬 것으로 보입니다. 날씨가 변하는 것은 다음주 초 부터인데요. 여러 예보모델이 동해에서 저기압이 급격하게 발생하며 25일 경 전국에 비나 눈이 한 차례 내립니다. 이 시기엔 상층 기온까지 매우 내려가는데요. 추위가 남하하며 연속적으로 한기 파동이 찾아올 것으로 예상하고 있습니다. 26일과 28일, 30일에 계속 평년기온 아래까지 기온이 뚝 떨어질 것으로 보이는데요.
한편 중부지방과 전북에 약한 빗방울이 스칠 것이라는 예보도 있는데요. 실제 사운딩을 보면 '기온 구조상 비 형태는 가능'할지언정 대기 불안정이 전혀 없고, 850~700hPa 사이에서 습도층이 거~의 발달하지 않습니다. 상승기류도 모자라고... 비구름의 가능성은 정말 정말 정말 낮다고 보셔도 됩니다. 그나마 가능성을 꼽으라면 낮에 거의 15℃ 넘게 치솟는 대기가 급격하게 응결하면서 빗방울 같아보이는 것이 내릴 수도 있다... 정도겠는데요. 이것도 대기 중 습기 양이나 대류 에너지가 너무 낮아서 거의 체감할 수 없을 양으로 보여요.
오늘은 어제보다 날씨가 많이 풀렸습니다. 고기압이 많이 남하하면서 중국 남부에서 서풍 위주의 바람이 불어오게 된건데요. 이로 인해 푄 현상이 발생하며 동해안 일대에는 건조주의보가 발령되었습니다. 현재 한반도엔 구름이 껴 있는데요. 점차 고기압이 이동해오면서 오늘 전국이 대체로 흐리다 내일부 맑아지겠습니다. 오늘 아침 최저기온은 -4~6℃, 낮 최고기온은 11~16℃로 평년보다 기온이 다소 오릅니다. 주요 도시별로는 서울 2~14℃, 대전 2~15℃, 대구 1~15℃, 광주 4~15℃, 부산 4~16℃, 제주 11~16℃입니다.
특히나 항공사의 경우 이런 문제가 매우 심각합니다. 과도한 심야 증편이나 퀵턴 요구, 터무니없이 짧게 책정된 기체 정비 시간 등이 문제를 낳고 있는거죠. 혹자는 이렇게 혹사하지 않으면 비용 절감을 이룰 수 없다고 하는데, 기업 경영은 그렇게 주먹구구식으로 이루어지지 않습니다.
혹사를 통한 비용 절감은 장기적으로 자기파괴적 전략이죠. 저렇게 해야만 된다는건 C레벨의 역량 부족을 단적으로 드러내는 고백이나 다름없습니다.
부디 사람들이 안전한 곳에서 제대로 대접받는 일을 하길 바랍니다. 이를 통해 사회 전체가 안전해지길 바래요.

신안 여객선 좌초 사고 원인

어제 많은 가족분들로 하여금 팽목항의 그 슬픔을 떠올리게 했던 그 사건은 굉장히 다행스럽게도 3시간만에 전원 구조라는 희망적인 소식과 함께 찾아왔습니다. 물론 침몰과는 다르게 섬에 좌초당한 사건이라 위험성이나 규모 자체가 다르긴 했죠. 그래도 야간에 생긴 사건을 잘 수습한 모든 분들에게 감사를 표합니다.
현재 좌초되었던 퀸제누비아2호는 예인선을 통해 안전하게 이초 (암초에 좌초된 배를 떨어뜨리고 다시 띄우는 것) 후 자력으로 항해, 목포로 이동 중이라고 합니다. 굉장히 다행스러운 일입니다.
