My apparently-controversial take is that you will never find a process that acts as a magic wand that makes your business suddenly amazingly effective
and, in fact, that thinking about process like this is one of the *best* ways to fuck things up
@mcc Having struggled with CSS layout again recently (and given up, going back to a plain old table), I think the thing you're missing is that CSS is an incomprehensible bastard that never lets you do anything that you actually wanted to. Sorry I can't be more helpful. (And nor is CSS).

Definitely, and I've also seen the question raised of why the update deployment system, when the deployment with the bad config file was pushed out, did not automatically roll back to the last known good configuration upon failure occurring. But neither of these, of course, are language-level criticisms.

i was doing a lot of localization work in the early 2000s and believe me you would not want to live in a world without unicode
the operating systems kinda flirted with it but apps didn't, so i am pretty confident that the thing that finally got everybody up to speed was they had to deal with xml
