I've been wearing these shoes for a little over a year now. Pretty much every time I meet someone new, I get asked if they're one pair or two. I ask them to guess

If you'd asked me a year ago how I thought the answers would split, I'd have said 90/10 in the correct direction. But having let several hundred people guess, it splits about 50/50

My spouse said, "Get both, you can always return one" I kept both. If you like adding a bit of whimsey to other people's day, and you don't mind talking to strangers too much, I highly recommend this as a strategy

Summary: A major brick-and-mortar store sold an Apple Gift Card that Apple seemingly took offence to, and locked out my entire Apple ID, effectively bricking my devices and my iCloud Account, Apple Developer ID, and everything associated with it, and I have no recourse. I hate sudo with a passion. It represents everything I find offensive about the modern Unix security model: like su, it must be a SUID binary to work it is monolithic: everything sudo does runs as root, there is no privilege separation it uses a non-declarative and non-hierarchical configuration format leading to forests of complex access-control policies and user errors due to lack of concision it supports plugins to extend the policy engine which run directly in the privileged SUID process I could go on, but hopefully you get the point.

지금 만들고 있는 서비스가, 어찌 보면 새로운 형태의 서비스(뭐... 그다지 새롭지 않다. 특별한 아이디어가 들어간 것도 별로 없다)가 오만하게 join 먼저 유도하고 있는 것 같아, 일단 접속하면 서비스가 보이도록 바꿨다. 일단 URL로 접속하는 사람들은 무슨 서비스인지 다 알고 온다는 가정으로 로그인 페이지를 띄웠는데, 사람들의 생각은 다른 것 같다. 뭔지 보고 쓸지 말지 결정해야지, 옆 사람 말만 듣고 결정하기엔 이미 SNS는 넘쳐난다. 혼자 만들면서, 아직 피드백 받을 수 있는 상태에도 못 갔으니, 뭐가 아집인지, 킥인지 구별이 쉽지 않다.

흩어져 있는 가족끼리 일상을 기록하거나, 장소에 딸린 음악 기록, 낚시터 공유, 여행 루트 공유 등... 분명 쓰임새는 보여서, 여기서 그만 두기에는 아쉽다.
