There is a condition affecting cartoonists at truly alarming rates that the medical establishment has chosen to ignore. It's called Tree-Deficiency.

Our Patreon's Tree Hugger™️ level exists to fix this. You can directly fund our prescription: one tree hug per month, per artist, documented and delivered to you as photographic proof. Real bark. Real arms. Real awkward human-tree contact, captured for your peace of mind.

Elizabeth hugging a treeJonathan hugging a tree4 panel comic by War and Peas. 1. Panel: A girl walks towards a tree 2. Panel: The girl hugs the tree. 3. The tree looks down at the girl and thinks "This isn't helping anything." 4. The tree closes its eyes and thinks "But it feels good."

my housemate was coughing a lot for no clear reason so i figured i'd buy an air purifier. i found one with a true HEPA filter and good score by that one autistic person who is obsessed with comparing filters of vacuum cleaners, by Levoit

Levoit includes a "Test Report" in their marketing materials by SGS and including their trademarked logo, referring to a specific "SGS ID" of a test, but no details

so obviously i emailed SGS and asked them to confirm whether such a test has been conducted.

i got a response from a Senior Sales Executive in Filtration and he Cc'd three other people in the lab that did the certification asking them to search their archives.

i wonder if i'm the first consumer who bought this device to go and ask this question, and if yes, whether i made their day

RE: mastodon.social/@fastlydevs/11

Huge thanks to @fastlydevs for 10+ years of keeping up and running! PyPI serves 800K+ users at ~100K requests/sec. With a small team behind the service, that kind of scale is only possible because of infrastructure partners who invest in the sustainability of the ecosystem.
