그냥 멍청하고 사악하고 무능해서 그러는게 아니라
인터넷 여론에서 숫자 이상으로 영향력을 발휘하는 특정 그룹을 대상으로 하는거고. 애초에 학계, 진보 시민이나 민주당 지지자에게 받을 비판은 관심이 없는 것.
머스크가 게임 잘하지도 못하면서 대리 랭까지 하고 그러는 것도 그냥 유치해서 그런게 아니고. 저들에게 동질감을 어필하는거지.

책을 읽지 않고 책을 읽은 티를 내고 싶어하는 주인공과, 유행이 지나간 책들 위주로 읽는 독서가, 도서부원, SF 소설을 주로 좋아하는 캐릭터들이 얽히고 섥혀 보케와 츳코미를 반복하는 만화인데, 어쨌든 그 소재가 대부분 책입니다. 일본에서만 먹히는 소재도 있지만, 한국에도 들어온 책들도 꽤 다뤄지고 있어서 책을 이것저것 읽은 사람이라면 재미있는 요소들이 많이 있으리라 생각합니다.『익명의 독서 중독자들』과 비슷한 소재로, 일본 개그 만화의 문법을 따라가는 만화라고 생각할 수 있을 것 같습니다.
그러고보니 『소크라테스의 변명』을 아직도 읽지 않았네요. 음… 제가 통계적으론 분명 책을 많이 읽는 사람이긴 한데, 정성적으로는? 잘? 모르겠습니다. 이 책에서 언급된 책 중에서 확실히 읽은 건 『별의 계승자』에 『페르마의 마지막 정리』 정도네요. 『당신 인생의 이야기』는 읽은 것 같기도 한데…. 『달은 무자비한 밤의 여왕』은 읽어보고 싶은 책 목록에 들어가 있습니다. 저 정말 읽은 책이 없군요….

선거철이다보니 다시금 정당 현수막이 많이 걸리는데, 이상하게 유독 어떤 당의 현수막은 말하고 싶은 내용이 무엇인지 전혀 감이 안잡힐 때가 많다. 맥락도 없이, 중간에 문장을 끊어버리거나, 문장이 아니라 무의미한 단어를 연속시킨 덩어리 같은 경우가 많아서다. 그런 현수막을 자신의 얼굴과 이름까지 넣어서 길가 여기저기에 걸어놓는데, 도무지 이해하기가 어렵다. 거기에 무슨 의미가 있을까? 자기들끼리의 어떤 은어일까? 생각을 하면 마치 현수막이 'ㅋㅋ 알제?ㅋㅋㅋ" 하고 그쪽 언어로 놀리는 것 같아 짜증이 밀려온다.

This album dropped in the aftermath of clique co-leader Missy Elliot's "The Rain" going off like a bomb, and had like three huge hits on it, but basically no track on this album misses so I want to play you one of the lesser tracks that never got radio play. Timb and Missy became such huge multidecade cultural forces it's easy to forget when they were *hungry*, just obscure kids who produced for Alliyah
@mcc Great album. This was a hell of a run for Virginia! A couple years later, the Neptunes started dropping chart-topping hits, then a few years after that, the first Clipse album, and the Nelly Furtado album produced by Timbaland.
I was obsessed with all of it. Missy's first album felt so different than anything out. I love this era.

(I promised to link "dirty south" rap this week and wait, are Timbaland and Missy *dirty south* or just south? They're from like, Virginia. In retrospect this clique, and the ATL/NOLA/Houston cluster, seem like separate but parallel currents: a group of hip hop artists comes out of the US south doing something fundamentally new and changes the way music sounds.
Anyway at least it *feels*, and felt at the time, fundamentally southern. All those cricket samples.)
@mcc South but not the dirty South movement, imo. I was living in Atlanta at the time and Timbaland/missy, Pharrell Williams, all sounded like its own thing.
Dirty South was more OutKast, Goodie Mobb, Dungeon Family, then later, the crunk wave with lil' John, then trap with T.I.
Even Three 6 Mafia was outside of the Dirty South scope I think(?)

I'm in a situation where I'd need to test a function that calls a 3rd party function that uses django.contrib.gis.gdal.DataSource to load data.
My problem is, the data is massive and from the live internet.
I want to mock what is returned when it gets the data from the URL but I can't figure out how to mock it.

Even Three 6 Mafia was outside of the Dirty South scope I think(?)

(I promised to link "dirty south" rap this week and wait, are Timbaland and Missy *dirty south* or just south? They're from like, Virginia. In retrospect this clique, and the ATL/NOLA/Houston cluster, seem like separate but parallel currents: a group of hip hop artists comes out of the US south doing something fundamentally new and changes the way music sounds.
Anyway at least it *feels*, and felt at the time, fundamentally southern. All those cricket samples.)
