To anyone else coming to State of the Browser from London Heathrow today - the signage for the Underground initially takes you down to the Piccadilly line.

Should you want the Elizabeth line instead, you have to switch back and go down a different set of lifts/elevators.

I don't know if the entry point to the Liz line ends up charging more? Who knows. Either way if you end up at the Piccadilly line it's not because you've missed a sign - a sign that should exist, and doesn't 🤪

There's a partial solar tomorrow! The will slip between and the , casting its shadow over us 🌞🌕🌍

To get in the spirit, let’s take a (very) close peek at our cosmic neighbour, with its crater-covered surface. And, sadly, no cheese in sight 🧀 👀

This image was captured in early January through the Nasmyth A focus of the UT1 telescope at our Very Large Telescope (VLT) in

A closeup image of a circular patch of the Moon's surface, bright and gray, sprinkled with mountains and circular craters of different sizes. This image is surrounded by a circular shadow and a cross-shaped shadow of the structure that supports one of the telescope's mirrors.

Jean-Michel Jarre was a maniac. Oxygen as a piece of music was quite extraordinary and in my opinion shouldn't have worked, but it was so bizarre and beautiful and somehow intangibly relatable that it sort of transcended all of that. Where artists like Emerson Lake and Palmer had a niche audience and Pink Floyd moved away from the more esoteric music to be better understood, Jarre just put himself out there and challenged people to like it or not. And this spawned what is now known as 'the synthesizer revolution'. But my favourite thing about him is that he looks like a ventriloquists dummy.

J-M J. He's in open collar white shirt black coat and a nice black white polka dotted silk scarf. Behind him is a throng of photographers who I assume are all photographing his arse? He has calculatedly messy hair, thick stuck on eyebrows and beard stubble and is doing a wide smile showing both rows of teeth and looks like he's saying GOTTLE OV GEER, GOTTLE OV GEER.

Having a very chill and well adjusted day where I'm tearing up over how smart and cool and kind my friends are.

What a strange and beautiful privileged to live in a world with such people in it.

And there's going to be so many new, wonderful people out there to meet.
