Thanks to an inquiry posed by @wendydywen yesterday, I discovered two amazing projects to map community events from aroubd the on an @openstreetmap base.

«𝖛𝖔𝔦𝔡 balotta» by @grafton9archivio grafton9 shows venues listed on balotta.org, an Italian @gancio server.
🗺️ autistici.org/void/balotta

«vous revoir» by @simonSimon Daron shows events listed across both @mobilizon and servers.

I am finding this development supremely funny because when I first tried gerrit in like, 2010, I found the Change-ID trailer distasteful, and sorta bounced off of gerrit in part because of it. so all these years later, it maybe going away is just a very funny blast from the past.

Chromium now has initial, experimental support for the xdg-session-management protocol, which will start shipping in canary channel in the coming days. I've implemented and tested it against Mutter 48, the only compositor supporting it atm - also experimentally - since version 47.

I'm looking for a new comment system for my blog, and I'm not seeing any clearly great options.

I've been using for on my blog for a few years now, and it's about time to switch comment systems.

Commento has been effectively unmaintained for 4 years (see gitlab.com/commento/commento). Their (paid) hosted version has been continuing to work, but I've seen increasing numbers of errors lately, so it's time to move.

I'd really *love* something that could integrate semi-natively with so new blog posts could show up in Mastodon and Mastodon replies would show up as comments, *but* I don't want to require a fediverse account for commenters; that rules out most (all?) of the embedded-Mastodon comment options.. After looking through Hugo's somewhat-outdated list of commenting options (gohugo.io/content-management/c), it looks like is the only option that even *slightly* fits that, and it's a lot heavier-weight than I really want to run today. Hours-of-maintenance-per-comment should be less than 1, thanks.

Basic requirements:

- Either easy to self-host or has a cheap hosted option.
- Allows anonymous comments plus common external auth options.
- Possible to import comments from Commento, possibly requiring code on my part, but it needs to allow arbitrary names, etc.
- Works with static sites.
- Not a privacy disaster
- If self-hosted, ideally written in something sane -- Go, Rust, etc. *Ideally* it's a single binary that listens to HTTP and stores comments in Postgres.
- Supports Markdown.

Does anyone have anything that they're really happy with?

You can hardly find a studio the works of which are so thoughtful, kind, and intentional as Studio Ghibli. To stripmine that for its aesthetics, to take a piece of cardboard and paint it like food and say "See, doesn't this taste just as good?" is more than missing the point, it's barbaric, dystopian. It's an insult to life itself.

Hello FreeBSD-nauts. As a FreeBSD newbie, I run into all kinds of little issues with my PC quite frequently to be honest.

Today, as usual, is not a big deal, but it is annoying as hell. I cannot get the volume knob in my Keyboard to work.

Help please! Thanks!

Dear Great Hackers, 즐거운 주말되세요! 😆
