@bhawthorne Initially I thought that was the case, but I haven’t seen any reporting suggesting a motive for wanting to threaten a 58 year old doctor from Pennsylvania. Perhaps she was politically active, but it seems more like incompetence in a rushed effort to get non-citizen residents to leave, since ICE isn’t actually having any luck removing people.

"In the 24 hours after Harvard President Alan M. Garber ’76 announced that he would not comply with the White House, the University received more than 3,800 online donations totaling more than $1 million, according to a person familiar with the matter." thecrimson.com/article/2025/4/

A long time ago, I saw the first bits of Swift be used for the Swift compiler, looked cool.

Then I blinked for a second, and a massive chunk is now written in Swift!

Pretty sweet.

A US citizen (born here, grew up here, has no connection to immigration) has been issued the same email ordering her to leave the US that a citizen attorney in Boston recently received. Basically ICE is such a dumpsterfire that they are emailing people telling them to self-deport, but keep emailing citizens.

Anyway, Kristi Kills-her-dog Noem probably will turn it around with her *checks notes* zero relevant experience.
