This has been driving me nuts for a while, where do Thunderbolt -> Ethernet adapters go?
I've been programming for 36 years, more than 3/4 of my life. It's always a little surprising how much I still absolutely love it. Obviously, the context in which I program can sometimes suck the joy out of it—it's not all roses.
But when I get to sit down and type a bunch of letters to make a computer do a thing, it still fills me with delight. If I won the lottery and retired today, I'd probably still spend much of my time puttering around in codebases.

궁금한 게 잇어요... 유튜브 스튜디오 커뮤니티 탭에서 댓글들에 답장을 하나씩 할 수 있게 되어있는데 답장 안 하거나 하트 안 찍은 글은 계속 남아있잖아요.. 보통 저한테 싫은 소리를 하는 말에는 답장도 하트도 안 누르기때문에(알림 가는 게 싫어서) 그런 글만 계속 남아있어요.. 커뮤니티 들어갈 때마다 보게 됨 ㅠㅠ

@treyhunnerTrey Hunner 🐍 I would argue that types can be very "real" when defining a contract, but in a legacy codebase where you are adding them, the types *themselves* need tests. any modification to a type signature that is not validated against other typed code with tests of its own (and some heritage in real-life use) is an opportunity to just guess at the type, guess *wrong* and then start mangling the implementation to line up with an incorrect guess
