Sonnet/Opus 4.6 have this new thing now where in their thinking block, they're "daydreaming about making tool calls" (long before they actually make any calls).

They'll go "I'm now writing tests... still writing tests... being careful about invariants... now updating the spec" while.. just thinking

Stoppt den Bau des Abschiebeterminals!

‚Am Münchner Flughafen gibt es derzeit eine kombinierte Transit- und Abschiebungshafteinrichtung, Abschiebungen erfolgen über Terminal 1.

Nun plant die Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) den Bau eines eigenen „Abschiebeterminals“, der aktuell im Planfeststellungsverfahren geprüft wird. Laut Bauantrag sollen dort bis zu 100 Abschiebungen täglich möglich sein.

Dies legt nahe, dass München künftig nicht nur bayernweit, sondern bundes- und möglicherweise EU-weit als Abschiebe-Drehscheibe fungieren könnte. Der deutsche Innenminister etwa schlägt vor, dass Deutschland Abschiebungen nach Afghanistan für andere EU-Länder übernimmt (Migazin, 15.10.2025)….‘

Because most people wouldn't be able to add custom attributes or custom values to most Fediverse software (including Mastodon) —

Most supporting software would probably want to support a "PropertyValue" link in "attachment" field as a fall-back

For example:

But, what about the non- fall-back situation where software could properly support this (when an Actor specifies a list of Service actors associated with it)‽

I think some might say, put the associated Service actors in "attachment". And, semantically I think that would work with ActivityPub, but — I have a very strong dislike with putting everything in "attachment" (and "tag"). It makes parsing difficult.

I have a question for specialists. I am writing some documentation as books, and for one of these books I want to link to a specific section in another book of that documentation. To make very clear where that section sits in the documentation's navigation, I want my link's text to be its full path, but I need to separate each segment somehow. So far, I am using the → character as a separator, so my links look like "Book → Chapter → Section", does that seem right to you?

I don't know who needs to hear this but

There is no honor in suffering. Denying yourself things that make your life better just because "you don't deserve it" or "someone has it worse" does not, in fact, make the world a better place. You can just do things that make you happy because you want to do them and no extra explanation or deserving is needed

Quelques semaines après son investiture, Trump supprime les financements publics pour les recherches liées au climat, aux discriminations, au genre, ou encore à la transidentité... Avec RFK Jr à la Santé, ce secteur est particulièrement touché.

Des médias et des universitaires reconstituent une liste de plus de 300 mots qui disqualifient les projets : autism, Black, climate, migrant, minorities, racism, transgender, woman…

Cette liste, c'est une volonté claire d’organiser la disparition de recherches, de connaissances, d'indicateurs, de droits humains et environnementaux.
