‘한 잔’을 띄워서 사용하면:

한 잔 해~

  • 잔을 비우고 나면 리필이 없다.
  • 소주잔으로 한 잔을 마시든 할맥 1000cc 맥주잔으로 한 잔을 마시든 따로 제한이 없다. 드럼통을 잔이라고 우기면 그걸 다 비울 때까지 상대해 줘야 한다.

반면에 붙여서 사용하면:

한잔해~

(‘한잔하다’도 한 개의 단어라서 붙여 쓴다.)

  • 꼭 한 잔만 마시지 않아도 된다.
  • 허나, 적당히 마셨으면 눈치껏 빠져 줘야 한다.

분명 인생에 도움이 되는 표현이니, 우리 모두 띄어쓰기에 조심해서 오해없는 명확하고 편안한 의사소통을 하자.

하나의 언어로 그럴싸하게 구조나 용어를 정해두고 나름 만족스럽다고 생각해도, 다른 언어로 번역하면 틈이 보이기 시작하고 원래는 말이 된다고 생각했던 구조라도 점점 이게 맞나 하는 생각이 들곤 한다. 내 생각과 기획의 완결성을 검증해보는 도구로 번역을 사용한다고 접근할 수도 있겠지만, 어쩌면 적당히 뭉개고 넘어가는 유연함을 허용하지 않는 것 같기도.

적고보니 그냥 아무말임. 위 내용을 영어로 번역하려고 하면 아마 이게 무슨말이야 싶을거다.
