몇년 전에 읍내에서 했던 이야기기는 한데, PC의 비협조성에 대하여 "그래도 이런 방향으로 협조는 할 것 같네요~" 를 제시해야 하는 건 PL이지, 마스터여선 안된다고 생각해요.

하다못해 마스터하고 같이 이런 배경을 가지고 있으니, 이런 방향성으로 플레이에 있어 동기를 만드는 건 어떠세요 < 이것도 플레이어가 직접 방향성을 제시하는 것으로 시작해야지, 저 비협조적 캐릭턴디요. 만 하는 건 사실 소통하는 놀이에서 소통을 안하겠다는 것이지요...

비협조적 캐릭터를 들고왔는데 마스터가 그럼 함게 할 이유가 없지 않나요? 라고 물어봤어. 그 질문에 대답하지 못한다면, 애초에 님이 할 역량도 깜냥도 안되는 캐릭터인겁니다... 하지 말라는 이야기는 아니지만, 적어도 본인이 책임을 지고 본인이 이야기에 섞여들어갈 의지와 태도를 보여야 할 수 있지요.

비협조적인 PC를 가져올 수는 있겠지만, 플레이에 있어 비협조적인 PL이 되지는 맙시다.

A: There are sad people who will do anything for attention and clicks, will spread FUD and fake controversies to obtain them, including decontextualising comments on merge requests, stating as facts and official communications what are personal opinions, and finally straight up lying.

Don't believe the FUD.

으으음... nix 쓰는 거 점점 부담스러워져서 좀 타개책이 필요하다.

  • nix는 패키지 단위가 아니라 nixpkgs 단위로 버전을 관리하다보니 특정 패키지만 마이너 버전 업하는게 불편하다
    • 나는 A 패키지만 버전업 하고 싶은데용? → 불편하고 힘들게 해야함
  • 각 레포마다 다른 버전의 nixpkgs를 쓰고 있을 수도 있음
    • 이게 의존성 관리에는 문제가 없는데, 내 맥뿍 용량 관리(...)랑 빌드 시간 관리(...)에 영향을 크게 줌
    • 예를 들어 시스템에 이미 A 패키지가 깔려있는데, 어떤 레포에 진입하니 자동으로 A 패키지를 다시 빌드하네? 왜??? 하고 보면 시스템의 nixpkgs와 레포의 nixpkgs 버전이 달라서 그렇다거나
  • darwin-rebuild, nixos-rebuild로만 리빌드하다보니 작은 수정에도 시간이 오래 걸린다
  • home-manager가 돌아가다가 중간에 스크립트가 삐끗하면 그대로 조용히 실패함. 실패라고 알려주는 것도 아니고, 롤백도 아니고, 경고도 아니고, 그거 빼고 실행해주는 것도 아니고, 멈췄다고 알려주는 것도 아니고 그냥 쓱 조용히 멈추고 뒷부분 실행을 안 한다...
    • 가끔 Emcas 설정 로드 안 되어있길래 열심히 뒤적거려보면 이런 문제가 많음
  • 언어가 strict하지 않고 lazy typing이라 그런가 LLM이 종종 해멜 때가 많음
nix-darwin으로 설치한 WezTerm.app이 권한을 요구하는 모습home-manager에서 script가 실패하자 "조용히 실패"한 모습

年假陪著二老，除了簡單的打掃整理，就是跑步、讀書、看劇，清幽的上半場。

邊跑邊聽張景森的訪談，從都市計畫的「偽科學」談起，喜歡他提到 （Compact city），如香港、新加坡等，因為人為的基礎設施集中，反而效率高，不像歐美常見的 garden city，對郊區野外是進逼而入侵的，高密度城市反而能把市郊的荒野保存得更好。

高密度城市往往也意味著政府的高度投資，因此 ，否則地價越來越高，不利於年輕人的居住正義。

正好最近日本也在展開「資本 vs 公共性」的討論—2024年獲得被視為「建築界諾貝爾獎」的普立茲克獎的建築師山本理顯，對近年來東京都進行的開發優先考慮富人的利益而非公共性，直言東京正在逐漸變成「富人的殖民地」。

延續上一則貼文泰國作家威拉蓬的發言，基本精神都是相互呼應的：

「⋯我們有飯店，我們什麼都有，卻沒有我們真正需要的東西。

我們沒有完善的公共設施，沒有好的交通系統，那些本來早就應該有的。我們應該有更好的學校，也應該有更好的老人照護。」

This whole thing is totally deranged.

I *do* have a One Login account with this email address (entertainingly I personally have *TWO* "One Login" accounts)... but read that carefully: "[...] for HMRC".

... and keep reading: "If you use GOV.UK One Login elsewhere [...] you cannot use it for HMRC yet."

Which means this is either strange for just-me, or it's a global "not for HMRC yet". If it's the latter, why did they even offer it as a login method?!

Today I published an update on the supported project, which brings browser-grade Public Key Infrastructure to Linux through the efficient data format, with the core revocation engine now functional and available to test!

Beyond current progress, this post explores broader integration, performance, and future capabilities like Certificate Transparency enforcement and Merkle Tree.

This is all part of the effort to increase the resilience of machines by default, but I hope it has a wider benefit on the Linux ecosystem going forward!

Fluxer keeps coming up as a Discord alternative. It looks good, but it has one major problem: It's AGPL and it requires a CLA.

That is an enshittification time bomb. I personally will not contribute to projects using that combination, it's gone wrong way too many times.

That's not to say it's bad to use as a hosted service, it being open source at all is better than Discord.

But from an open source point of view, it's not a good licensing setup. It basically creates a system where the project owners have more rights than other contributors. It's not fair.
