For years, a massive decentralized network of neighborhood councils known as Resistance Committees has existed in the lands ruled by the state of Sudan. Anarchists in Sudan have been active participants in these Resistance Committees, surviving against all odds through a brutal civil war, as armed factions compete for power.

Comrades at the Dugout Podcast, a Black anarchist media project based in the US, have created a fundraiser to get money directly to anarchists in Sudan. In obvious move to force more targeted to commit acts labeled as "crime" to incite more racism, far-right ruled govt of Sweden announced law proposal whereby immigrants will not qualify for basic social welfare net until they have lived in Sweden 5 years,
incl subsidies for families with children (currently covers everyone regardless income since 1940s), housing subsidies (already only for low income, etc), parental leave pay.
Sooo... don't you dare e.g. get pregnant before 5 years, or just have to work and care for baby at same time, like in 1800s.

They added an express lane for high-income, least likely to need it, to get covered by basic safety net earlier, so e.g someone $4423/month salary 6 months qualify.

So, one thing I said at #FediMTL yesterday is that Fediverse software should ship with the IFTAS DNI list as the default, minimum blocklist. Ideally, the list should periodically auto-update.

If you *want* to see gore, racist harassment, or transphobia, you can consciously remove those sites from your blocklist. If you want to subscribe to a different blocklist, you should get to do that, too.

Fediverse admins shouldn't have to learn how to find the DNI list and install it the hard way.

유니티, 렌더 파이프라인 대격변 예정

URP가 완전한 기준 및 표준으로 자리잡을 전망. 유니티가 최근 보여준 ‘선택과 집중, 그리고 최적화’ 행보랑도 잘 맞고, 개발자 입자에서도 정말 대대대환영.

자세히 살펴보면:

전통의 빌트인은 6.5 버전부터 Deprecated, 28년 까지만 공식 지원.

2010년대 후반 언리얼에 준하는 때깔을 뒤해 선보인 HDRP는 신규 업데이트 중단, 고품질 렌더링 기능 (광원, 하늘, 물, SSR 등) 순차적으로 URP로 이관.

URP+HDRP 통합 구상도 했으나 마이그레이션 및 비용 이슈로 중단.

특히 HDRP는 이도저도 아니었… 하위랑 호환도 안되고 퀄리티 생각하면 차라리 언리얼 쓰는게 낫고 실제 이거 써거 만든 대박 게임이 있기는 하나?? 데모만 실컷 보여줬지ㅋ

다만 빌트인은 워낙 이걸로 만들어진 레거시-모바일 게임들이 많아서 혼란이 있을거라 잘 대처해야 할듯.

이제 유니티도… AI좀 잘 좀 발라봐좀🥹

The missing files are about accusations that Trump sexually assaulted a child and hit her in the head. The FBI interviewed the accuser four times and the DOJ has not released the interview notes.

All allegations of Trump wrongdoing are worth watching. But this one is especially worth watching because it has three properties:
1. It's serious.
2. It's well-documented. (Thanks to #NPR.)
3. It's one that many #MAGA voters and politicians take seriously.

Hundreds of Trump scandals have the first two properties. Almost none has the third.

This creates the prospect of actual accountability.

None of the "code generation" stuff is new by the way.

The tech industry has tried to speed up coding and increase software output for the last 3 to 4 decades, by various means; e.g. Rapid Application Development, Expert Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, thousands of different frameworks all the way to trying to off-shore development and exploit third-world labor.

The problem with this is: there is no software scarcity. Pretending that "we can't make software fast enough" is a red herring to hide the fact that making (good) software is 90% painstaking research, design, planning, marketing and talking to and supporting customers.

And 10% writing the actual code—the C-suite is doing ye olde "trying to find a technical solution to a social problem".
